What do I need to have ready to place my order?

All you need are the documents you want us to deliver and basic information about to who you need served, including their name and the address where you think we can reach them. If you're having legal documents delivered, make sure you submit the signed copy from the court, where required by law.

How much does service of process cost?

Price is based on the cost of service of process in each state. You can see how much service of process would cost for you by entering the address of the party to be served in the place order process.

Do you have a process server near me?

We have process servers in all 50 U.S. states! With an active network of more than 2,500 process servers — the largest network in the nation — we have the coverage to get your documents out for delivery any time, anywhere.

What happens after service of process?

After documents are successfully delivered, we provide you with proof of service. It will be available as a PDF in your account as soon as it's ready (our process servers sometimes sign on-site at the time of delivery). If your state requires a physical proof of service, we'll mail that to you.

If, for whatever reason, we were unable to make the delivery, we'll provide you with a return of non-service, declaring that we were unable to provide service in accordance to local laws.

In that case, your options are to provide another address for us to attempt service at, or you may need to seek legal counsel regarding alternative methods of service of process, which require court approval to perform.

What do I do with the proof of service?

Once you have your proof or return of service, you'll need to file it with the court where you filed the initial documents. There are specific timelines in some states, so be sure to confirm local court rules to ensure you meet any deadlines in your court's process.
