eChecks

What is a Printable eCheck?

Printable eChecks are simply regular checks that you can send and receive in just seconds using email and print instantly. There’s no additional software or technology required and anyone with an email address and a printer can receive and print an eCheck.

So, it's just a regular check?

Yes, our eChecks are exactly like traditional paper checks that can be deposited at banks, ATM's or using a mobile banking app. Each check contains the same elements as a traditional check including routing number, account number, signature line, amount paid, payee and check number.

Will banks accept Printable eChecks?

Yes. eChecks are exactly like any other check accepted by your bank. If your bank does have questions, they can simply follow the directions on the check to verify its authenticity.

Can I really just print a check from a regular printer?

Yes. Just like you can print airline and concert tickets from your own printer, you can print your checks as well. Every eCheck contains a digital fingerprint that cannot be forged and allows for easy verification. The eCheck can be printed in black and white and does not have to be printed in color.

Regulation and Guidelines that support printable eCheck acceptance as legitimate forms of payment

According to the UCC (Uniform Commercial Code), a check is defined by its content rather than its form. As long as a printed eCheck contains all necessary elements (such as the payer's signature, the payee, the amount, and routing/account numbers), it should be considered a valid negotiable instrument.

21st Century Act

The Check 21 Act allows banks to handle more checks electronically and permits the creation of substitute checks. This legislation was designed to make the check clearing process faster and more efficient. A printed eCheck can be considered analogous to a substitute check, thus benefiting from the provisions of the Check 21 Act.
